The appliance warranty and instruction booklets are given to the homebuyer during the walkthrough.

The booklets include information on various appliances including…the kitchen range, cooktop, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave oven, trash compactor, HVAC, fireplaces, water heaters, smoke alarms, garage door openers, and audio/video.

The builder can be professional by assembling all of these booklets and pamphlets arranged in a folder or binder…rather than merely handing a stack of disorganized papers to the homebuyer…or placing them inside one of the kitchen cabinet drawers (I have seen several builders do just that…even in multi-million dollar custom homes).

A three-ring binder with labeled dividers and a table of contents works well for organizing the 8-1/2 x 11 size materials.  The notebook can also have clear plastic sleeves for holding smaller booklets.
