For production tract housing and condominiums, when the builder installs light bulbs throughout the house, it is a good practice to inform the homebuyers of the types and sizes of the light bulbs used.

This information can be in the homebuyer’s move-in literature, as a few pages with illustrations, sizes, and wattages of each type of light bulb used in the house.

Some new homebuyers do not know what a 25-watt, clear, straight-tip candelabra light bulb…in a dining room light fixture…is actually called.  The builder can thus make it easier for the homebuyer to purchase the correct light bulbs once the existing bulbs start to burn out.
